An interesting day…

Today has been the mental meltdown day in my house… and I made the black belt in Meltdowns….

Well let me put it like this…. I expect flowers chocolate a good wine and a beautiful neclace and a candle light dinner tomorrow….  No I dont expect this after every nuclear meltdown in this household… just tomorrow…

Why? Bec me and my husband Celebrate 11 yrs as married tomorrow.. and 15 as a couple….

well… to get back on track.. after the meltdown I thought of a saying I read somewhere on the web a couple of days ago… “If you are feeling blue.. try paint yourself in another color”

Love paint… a colleague of mine suggested bodypaint… naaah not my style… (getting on the wrong track again)…
Well.. I started painting.. and let me tell you that kind of painting was some time since the last time… I actually painted stamped Images.
There was a Time when I did it all the time… Thats how I ended up with scrapbooking. it feels like about a million years ago.. but I actually started my DT career as an International Designer for the Magnolia Rubberstamps.
bla bla bla.. Will she ever get to the point??……
Well I took out some colourpencils and started painting.. and I actually taped the entire process… and YES!!! I did a Video Tutorial about it..
The thought was to make something for my digital training programme we are having at work.. but as with alot today.. I sort of sidestepped myself and ended up with something else than I had in mind when I started…
so…
you want to check it out?
sorry about the audio.. Im not that great at talking in my videos yet….

Ive used the Carta Bella from The Aug kit from My scrapbook Nook for the card shown at the end of the video…

UDD blogday

Yesterday was my blogday over at the UDD blog.. and I showed this LO:

I had so much fun making this LO, and let me tell you.. I actually made a video showing the way I worked my way through this one…

wanna check it out??

I actually got inspired by my sweet friend Mahlin on this one… she really got me all jammed up for this gesso/misting thing… and its so much fun!

Thanks for looking :)

Best Creations

Have you seen those new paperlines from BC? there is three lines released this month,

Gone Camping, Baseball and… I love America, all three paperlines is gorgeous… and if you look close on the Nook VC banner you can get a little sneek for the Gone camping line ;)

I thought the Baseball line would be the hard one for me to use, but I already have a few ideas buzzing in my head for that one :)

well enough said about that,,,, there have been some updates on the BC blog this week, and I have a few things showing there :)
first, a LO about easter traditions

and second the DT shows their favourite techniques for papercrafting… and I showed this page

and my technique was folding paperstripes to fans and making small paperroses…

If you want to make those yourself I have a small tutorial up on Youtube for that one :)

Have a great day!!

Tutorial vintage tag :)

I love tags, and in the july/august issue of scrap n´art e-zine I had a small tutorial on how to make those cute vintage tags. I thought that I would share it with you today :)

tag-klra

Material använt till denna tag är:/ I have used the following supplies:

Tag-Rusty Pickle, Paper: G45-Buttons A la mode, Ghost shape-Heidi Swapp, flowers and leaves-Prima, Rhinestones-Kaiserkraft, Glitterglue-Ranger stickles, Chalk ink-Color Box, Black Ink-Adirondack, Misc: buttons, lace, journalingcard, feathers, ephemera picture, lace, Adhesivers-Gluedots

Start with a tag in a neutral colur. Use chalk ink to give the tag a worn look. I Have used three shades of brown for this tag. Start with the lightest brown, and end with te darkest brown only at the corners of the tag. use a wordstamp to create a background.

Give the ghostshape an ephemera look by distressing with alco ink and a stamped image for beautiful effects.

3. Montera din glansbild ovanpå din ghostshape.

Mount your ephemera picture onto the ghost shape.

Use small clear buttons and gluedots to add height and dimension for a 3D effect.

Adhere the journaling spot, lace and trims and a cut out from the patterned paper to the tag.

Mount the ephemera ghostshape/angel, flowers, pearlswirls buttons and feathers to the tag.

As a final touch mount a few leaves, rhinestones and glitterglue to the tag.

I hope that you liked my tutorial, and if you creat a tag of your own after this, please leave me a link so that I can come and praise your work.
